How do I access online events; masterclasses; video courses; AgentMatch and expert member advice?

You can access everything in your Premium Membership via your Dashboard or the ‘My Jericho’ dropdown menu in the top right of your screen.  

What’s not included in my Premium Membership?

We firmly believe in fair pay for authors and tutors. Therefore, any service requiring one-to-one tutor time is not included in your Premium Membership. This includes: 

• Tutored short courses.
• Editorial services.
• Mentoring.
• Agent one-to-ones.
• In-person live events.

However, Premium Members receive a 10% discount on many of these services. If you’re signed into your account, you’ll have these discounts automatically applied, so you can see the price upfront. 

What kind of discount do I get on tutored courses?

Premium Members receive a 10% discount on selected tutored courses. To see your discounted prices, just ensure you’re logged in when you browse what we have on offer.  

How do I get feedback on my query letter or writing?

As a Premium Member, you can get one free query letter review each year from our team. To do that, fill out the Query Letter Review form here. If you want general advice about your writing or publishing options, you can contact us here. You can also get personal advice in our online live event, Ask Jericho Writers Anything, which happens on the first Thursday of each month. More details about the Ask Jericho Writers Anything event can be found on your Member Events page. Every month, you can also submit work to be considered for our Open Mic where you’ll have the chance to get feedback from our Team plus your fellow Premium Members on a live Zoom call. You can find details about the Open Mic event here. You will also have access to Feedback Friday, where you can share your response to weekly challenges set by our founder and author Harry Bingham and receive feedback from your fellow members. Harry prioritises his expert feedback for Premium Members too.

What are the different membership options?

We offer two types of membership – Free and Premium.  

Free Membership: join our global community of writers on Townhouse and be the first to hear the latest news with writing newsletters from the Jericho Writers’ Team. 

We offer two membership plans for Premium Membership:  

Annual Premium Membership: This is an annual subscription. You can choose to pay in one upfront payment or in 12 monthly instalments. For the full terms and conditions, please see here. 

Premium Flex Membership: This monthly subscription option gives you full access to our Premium Membership and renews automatically every month for £30, unless you cancel. It can be cancelled at any time, unlike the Annual Premium Membership.   

What happens if I upgraded from a Free Member to the Premium Membership?  

Your login details will remain the same. Now as a Premium Member you can access all elements of your membership via your Dashboard or the My Jericho menu. Your Townhouse posts, groups, forums, messages, and friends will be available to you as before. 

How do I pay for my Premium Membership?

When you joined Premium Membership, you would have chosen from either the pay monthly option or the annual option. Your card will be charged for payment for your first month/year immediately. 

After that, subsequent payments are paid via automated recurring card payments at the same time each month/year. For example, if you purchased your monthly membership on 1 January, your next card payment will be deducted on the 1^st of the month for the duration of your membership. Equally, if you purchased an annual membership, your subscription payment will be due on the same date every year.   

Can I change from a Premium Flex membership to an Annual Premium Membership?

If you subscribed to Jericho Writers as a Premium Flex for a month and have decided to switch to an Annual Premium Membership (pay upfront or monthly installments), please follow these steps:  

• Go to ‘My Jericho’ in the top right corner of your screen and select ‘My Account’ from the menu. 
• Click on ‘Subscriptions’ in the drop-down menu. 
• Click on ‘View’ your active subscription and then on ‘Cancel.’ 
• Now that your previous subscription is cancelled, you can re-join. You can do so by selecting Annual Premium Membership on the Join Us page. 

Once you have completed the transaction, your new annual membership should begin automatically and will renew every 12 months.   

Can I switch from an Annual Premium Membership to a Premium Flex Membership subscription?

Yes, you can switch to the Premium Flex option after the full 12 months of your Annual Premium Membership have passed. 

How do I cancel my Annual Premium Membership (Pay Upfront) or my Premium Flex Membership?

If you’ve decided to leave the membership then please get in touch with us first, we’d love to chat with you.  

To cancel your membership, simply: 

• Go to ‘My Jericho’ in the top right corner of your screen and select ‘My Account’ from the menu. 
• Click on ‘Subscriptions’ in the drop-down menu. 
• Click on ‘View’ your active subscription and then on ‘Cancel.’ 

This will cancel your recurring card payments after your initial subscription period ends (either 12 months or one month, depending on your initial purchase).  Please note that Premium Annual Membership (paid yearly or monthly) cannot be cancelled during the 12 months, aside from the initial 14-day cooling off period. 

If at any time you want to come back, just log in, go to ‘My Account’, click on ‘Subscriptions’ then ‘View’, and finally ‘Resubscribe’.

Can I cancel my Annual Premium Membership before the end of the 12-month period? 

Taking out an annual membership, whether paid yearly or monthly, means that your membership will last for a minimum of 12 months and can’t be cancelled before that minimum term is over. If you would like more flexibility to cancel at any time, we recommend choosing the Premium Flex membership. 

That said, all of our Annual Premium Memberships come with a 14-day money back satisfaction guarantee which means if you’re not happy during your first 14 days, you can cancel with no questions asked. 

What happens if I cancel my Annual Premium Membership before the end of the 12-month period?

Cancelling your Annual Premium Membership means that it will not renew after the initial 12-month period is over. If you chose to pay in 12 monthly instalments, you will continue to pay these until the end of this period, at which point you can cancel the renewal of the subscription. You’ll continue to have access to your Premium Membership until the initial 12-month period is over. If you cancel your Premium Membership with us, your membership will drop down to a Free Membership. 

What is the 14-day cooling-off period? 

We know committing to something for a year without trying it can be a worry, so we offer a 14-day cooling off period. This means if you join us for the year and aren’t happy within your first 14 days, you can cancel without any questions asked.
