Harry Bingham has written over 15 books, including fiction and non-fiction. He’s been published by each of the world’s top 3 publishers. His books have appeared all over the world, have been adapted for TV and optioned by Hollywood. He has also had substantial literary acclaim.

He founded the Writers’ Workshop, our predecessor company, and has helped many thousands of authors over the years. He is currently writing the Fiona Griffiths crime series, which gives him deep joy.

Sophie is a Cotswolds-based psychological thriller author with an MA in Creative Writing from Oxford Brookes. Her debut novel ALL MY LIES was published by Simon & Schuster in April 2021. She has since had more psychological thrillers published by Hera, mostly recently WHAT STAYS UNSAID (May, 2024).

When not writing, Sophie can be mostly found on muddy walks with her husband and rescue dog or disappearing to Cornwall whenever possible.

Becca Day is Head of Membership and Marketing at Jericho Writers. She lives in the middle of the woods in Surrey with her husband, daughters and cocker spaniel. She studied acting at Guildford College and went on to start her own Murder Mystery theatre troupe. It was this move that inspired her love of crime fiction, and she has since thrown herself head first into psychological thriller writing. Her debut, The Girl Beyond The Gate was an instant Amazon bestseller. She has since published a further four novels. Her sixth book is currently undergoing edits and she is writing her seventh.

As Head of Courses at Jericho Writers, Kat Ashton is the creative force behind our tutored courses, responsible for developing new ideas and ensuring they run smoothly. Before joining Jericho Writers, Kat worked at a leading university press, gaining valuable experience in publishing and content development.

Outside of work, Kat is a passionate advocate for mental health awareness and works with charities to promote understanding and support for those in need.

Rachael heads up the Writer Support Team at Jericho Writers as well as our editorial department and many of our technical projects. Rachael has an MA in Eighteenth-Century Literature and Romanticism; she specialises in female sociability and is currently writing a series of short articles about her research.

In her spare time, you can find Rachael poring over her favourite first editions in the British Library or walking around a bookstore looking for yet another Penguin Classic.

Responsible for maintaining existing IT and introducing new solutions to keep the Jericho Writers digital workplace secure, effective & reliable. Ryan has a PhD in Engineering and enjoys putting his “geeky” interests to use, inventing contraptions of questionable utility in his spare time.

Outside of work at Jericho Writers, you’ll find Ryan selling his 3D-printed creations at markets across Oxfordshire.

Laura Starkey is the queen of unputdownable and supremely funny romantic comedy, as well as a member of our Marketing Team here at Jericho. Laura studied English & Related Literature at the University of York, then spent several years as a secondary school teacher before going on to work as a digital copywriter, editor and content designer.

LOVE OFF SCRIPT, Laura’s fourth novel, will be published on 25 March 2025 by Embla.

Jonny is part of the Marketing team at Jericho Writers and is the moderator for the International Ultimate Novel Writing Programme. Last year, he relocated from Gloucestershire to Toronto, Canada, where he spends more time in the wilderness than in the city.

He is hopeful that by joining the UNWP as a moderator and seeing all of our students’ successes, he will be inspired to keep writing.

Kate leads our Writer Support Team, ensuring writers get the help they need while keeping projects across Jericho Writers running smoothly. She is passionate about supporting writers throughout their writing journey, whether that’s providing support in completing a manuscript, or advising on next steps.

Though she has yet to complete a novel of her own, Kate hopes that one day she can finally find the idea that sticks while pursuing her other creative hobbies.

Anna oversees the Agent One-to-One service and enjoys helping new authors make sense of the querying process so they can approach agents with confidence. One of her favourite parts of her job is interviewing literary agents about their likes and dislikes.

Though she has not yet finished any of her novels-in-progress (that’s a challenge for the distant future!), Anna loves creative writing and spends her free time writing for tabletop and live-action roleplaying games.

Verity is the Courses Executive at Jericho Writers, where she moderates across the full range of courses. Since completing the 2020/21 Ultimate Novel Writing Course with Jericho, she is now studying English Literature and Creative Writing at The Open University.

She is working on her next fiction project, alongside studying, with the support of her well-meaning cats, Truffle and Basil – who offer both distraction and inspiration.

Imogen is part of both our Writer Support and Courses teams and has a BA in English from the University of Exeter. If you’re interested in mentoring or have a general publishing question, you’ll likely speak to Imogen.

Outside of work, you’ll usually find her baking, upcycling clothing, or obsessively reading her latest book purchase. 

Emily works in the Writer Support team. You’ll likely see Emily pop up on live chat (and no, she is not a robot!) or moderating our Premium Member events like Ask Us Anything or Critique Club.

A long-term Premium Member of Jericho prior to joining our Writer Support Team, Rachel loves helping hopeful writers, such as herself, to solve their problems and take a step or two closer to achieving their writing dreams.

Rachel has previously self-published a trilogy, the first of which achieved bestseller status in fourteen Amazon categories in the UK, US, Australia, and Canada and is now seeking her traditional publishing debut with her latest manuscript.

Michael is our Finance Manager, expertly handling all things numbers at Jericho Writers. With a keen eye for detail and a knack for problem-solving, he ensures our finances run smoothly, keeping the business on track.

Tanya is part of the Marketing team at Jericho Writers. With a bestselling author as an aunt, Tanya grew up surrounded by stories and studied Publishing Media at Oxford Brookes University. She has worked at various publishers, a reading charity, and even ran her own book subscription box.

Tanya is also a yoga teacher who runs creative classes at her local studio, as well as a book club. She hopes to one day finish writing her first book.

Cleo is a writer and creative storyteller with one self-published novel under her belt and a couple of novellas. With a background in screenwriting (MA from IADT in Dublin) and podcast production, Cleo is passionate about how technology can support creativity and wellbeing.

Alongside her writing, she teaches Yoga and Tai chi and hosts wellness-focused podcasts exploring calm and resilience. Cleo is based in Birmingham with her husband and sassy rescue Pug, Lopez.
