Job Description

Reporting to the Head of Marketing this role will involve implementing a robust and exciting marketing strategy to promote our full range of products including online tutored writing courses; membership; editorial services; agent 1-2-1s and more.

Managing a small team, this role will be instrumental in shaping how the marketing team functions on a day-to-day basis as well as offering exciting new ideas for how to expand our customer base across 2023.

As part of managing a busy day-to-day campaign schedule, this role requires someone who loves organisation and processes. The ideal candidate will be as happy doing the creative side of marketing as they are analysing data from Google Analytics and WooCoomerce.

It goes without saying that email marketing and social media knowledge is also a must – we’re particularly keen on hearing from people with experience setting up, running and managing automation campaigns.

You must be comfortable working on CRM systems and understand the importance of keeping up to date, clean customer records.  SEO is a major part of the marketing strategy for 2023 so an interest in SEO is a must – even if the skills aren’t there yet. Training can be provided.

One of our most heavily invested products for 2023 will be our Premium Membership service. This is an online subscription that helps writers access the services they need to further their writing in one package. The ideal candidate will have experience working with online subscriptions and membership models and be as interested in the technical side of subscriptions as they are in developing exciting creative campaigns to get more members in.

Alongside all of that, we’re a small ambitious business so everyone here needs the ability to roll up their sleeves and get involved in whatever is required – that can be packing up roller banners for events, running an online writing sprint, and even reading creative writing submissions.

The successful candidate will join a fast-paced, growing company with ambitions to expand even further over 2023. We are a tight-knit team with many authors on our staff, though we welcome applications from marketing professionals who are not also writers themselves.
