Writing Events from Jericho Writers

Our events change lives. We help you write better, find literary agents, or self-publish with success.

Countless writers have used our events as their springboard into the industry and we’d love to help you too. You can log on and join in live events from home or meet agents, authors and writing experts in person. We’ve been running events for over 14 years, so we absolutely know what you want to know and make sure that we provide it. Our aim is always to bring you the most salient advice from the best authors, agents, tutors and agents with the most up-to-date knowhow in the industry… while keeping the atmosphere warm, supportive and inspirational.

Wow! Just listened to the open house editors’ session with Debi Alper and Tanya Byrne for Jericho Writers Summer Festival of Writing. Honestly, this festival is a prime example of the way things should be run. Inclusive, honest, and super helpful.

November Events

November is a busy month when, traditionally, we writers have been spurred on to set some quite aggressive goals for ourselves. To support this, we’re rolling out a daily Writing Retreat session, so we can all work alongside each other. The introductory session on the 1st is a great opportunity to set your goals and learn more about how it works for those who are new. It’s not just about trudging through the bog of first, second, and even third drafts this month; we’ve got Harry joining us for a pitch session to keep us motivated, and we will cap off the month with a Q&A session on publishing to get some solid advice.

London Festival of Writing

The Festival of Writing is an annual writing festival which sees hundreds of writers gather from around the world for a weekend of writing workshops, one-to-ones and more. The Festival of Writing will come to London in October 2023.

Since 2010, over three hundred writers per year have travelled to York to attend our Festival of Writing . This year, we’re back for a two-day non-residential festival in London. We’ve retained all the best bits from York – agent 121s, fantastic workshops, Friday Night Live, drinks at the bar – and can’t wait to see you in London this October.
