Do I need to be based in the UK for this service?

I’m interested in self-publishing. Is this service right for me?
This service is intended for authors who have already self-published. If you’re already a self-published author but not sure how to take your self-publishing to the next level, then this service will be the right next step for you. You’ll receive an objective progress report from Indie expert Debbie Young and guidance on where to go next.
If you’re new to self-publishing and would like to learn about it, then you may be interested in our Simply Self-Publish course (taught by Debbie Young), which will arm you with all the knowledge you need to put your book in readers’ hands. After the ten-week course you’ll walk away with a solid plan for self-publishing, tailored to your needs.
What do I need to submit for this service?
Once you have paid you will be sent a questionnaire to complete. Debbie will then use this questionnaire as the basis for her report.
Can any genre be submitted?
Yes, this service is suitable for any genre.
How long does it take to receive my self-publishing review report?
You will receive a questionnaire within three days of purchasing. Once this has been returned, our team expect to deliver your report within three weeks. You will then be able to arrange your one-hour video call directly with Debbie. If your report needs to be revised following this call, this will be returned within one week.
Who will be completing my self-publishing review?
Self-publishing expert Debbie Young, who is also the tutor of our Simply Self-Publish course, will be completing your review. Debbie is an accomplished indie author of 13 novels, with two shortlisted for the prestigious BookBrunch Selfies Award. As an ambassador for the Alliance of Independent Authors and founder of the Hawkesbury Upton Literature Festival, Debbie brings invaluable insights to your self-publishing journey.
How long will my self-publishing review report be?
Your report will be a minimum of 2,000 words. Feedback will be based on the information provided in your publishing strategy questionnaire, and include guidance on your current marketing, book presentation, and what to do next.
Will I be able to discuss my report with Debbie?
Following your self-publishing review, there will be an opportunity for a one-hour video call, which you can arrange directly with Debbie. During the call you’ll be able to discuss the self-publishing review report and ask any questions you might have. After your call, Debbie will send you an updated report recording everything discussed and any additional information. If you’d like to continue working with Debbie, you could book one-to-one mentoring. These are flexible, online sessions that can be tailored to your needs.
