About Becca
Becca Day is the author of four bestselling psychological thriller novels published in the UK by Embla Books and internationally by Bouq Publishing. Her debut novel, The Girl Beyond The Gate, was an instant Amazon bestseller and her latest novel, The Woman In The Cabin, spent 23 weeks in the top ten on Kindle.
As well as being a successful author, Becca is also the Head of Membership at Jericho Writers and, as such, is extremely experienced in offering editorial support, both through live workshops and close mentoring. She also created her own mentoring program, ThrillPit, in 2023, which championed under-represented voices in the crime and thriller genre.

Why Becca loves mentoring
I believe mentoring is about more than offering advice — it’s about walking alongside a writer as they bring their story to life. My approach is collaborative, encouraging, and practical. Having navigated the full journey from messy drafts to polished, published novels, I understand the highs and lows of the process and know how important it is to have someone in your corner who truly gets it.
I’m passionate about helping aspiring writers because I remember exactly what it felt like to be starting out — the excitement, the overwhelm, and the endless self-doubt. I want to help other writers find their voice, trust their instincts, and create the kind of stories they’re proud of.
As a mentor, I bring a blend of honest, actionable feedback and a deep respect for each writer’s unique vision. My goal with every project is to not only strengthen the manuscript but also to build the writer’s skills and confidence for future books.
While I’ll always love working on psychological thrillers, domestic suspense, and anything twisty, as Head of Membership at Jericho Writers I have wide experience of helping writers across many different commercial fiction genres, from romance to science fiction and fantasy.
