Book in a Meet Your Tutor Session to give you a sneak peek into the transformative power of our professional, personalised guidance on one of our tutored courses. Whether you’re looking to grow your career, enhance your skills, or simply gain fresh perspectives, this session is the perfect opportunity to see how tailored support on one of our courses can help you achieve your goals. Book a course or mentoring service (10 hours+) afterwards, and this session fee will be credited toward it.
To make the most of your 20-minute session, please come prepared with specific questions for the tutor of your choosing — for example, how they might help you solve a particular challenge in your novel by working together on the course. The more focused your questions, the easier it will be to determine whether the course is the right fit for you and your project. Upon booking, you will be invited to book your preferred time with the tutor. If the available slots don’t work for you, we’ll always make sure to find a time that fits your schedule. The session will then take place over Zoom (link sent upon booking).

How does the session work?
This is the chance to book a 20-minute online session where you can speak directly with one of our expert tutors. You’ll get personalised insight into our creative writing courses or mentoring and see how we can support your writing journey.
Once you’ve completed payment for the session, you’ll receive a link via email to choose your preferred timeslot. After the time is confirmed, you’ll receive another email with the Zoom link to join on the scheduled day. If your chosen slot doesn’t fit your schedule, we’ll always help you find a time that does.
To make the most of your 20 minutes, please come with specific questions or areas of your novel you’d like help with – whether it’s character development, dialogue, structure, or overcoming writer’s block. The more focused your questions, the more our mentors can dive deep into the heart of your story!

What is the Path to Publication course?
Path to Publication is an 8-week online course led by bestselling author and TV-producer Kate Harrison. Designed for writers with a complete, edited manuscript aiming for traditional publishing, it includes weekly evening Zoom sessions, guest author webinars, and an Agent Showcase in week 8. You’ll develop a polished submission package, pitch confidently, understand author branding, and gain one-to-one agent feedback. Plus, your first 500‑word excerpt and pitch get shared with Jericho’s agent network.
How does the £20 session fee work?
The £20 fee can be claimed back if you go on to sign up for a course or book 10 hours or more of mentoring. It’s a way to give you a taste of our tutoring while ensuring fairness for our tutors. Please note, the fee goes entirely towards paying our tutors for their time and Jericho Writers does not make a profit on these sessions.
Why do I have to pay for the session?
We introduced this to ensure our tutors are fairly compensated for their time. The full fee — minus bank charges — goes directly to the tutor. Jericho Writers doesn’t make a profit from this session.
