Why Tamsin loves mentoring
I know how difficult it is to write a book. I tried (and failed!) for many years to write a complete manuscript that I felt was engaging and relevant to readers. It took years for me to find my voice and the confidence to write in it. As an award-winning author currently writing my fifth novel for publication, I have learned so much that I believe is of great value to aspiring and experienced writers.
I have delivered fiction writing masterclasses for several years now, and I absolutely love making the writing process less daunting for new writers. Writing a novel is a delicate balancing act between action, character, setting and perspective. I will help draw out your key ideas, work with you to develop believable characters, and give you the confidence to write in your own voice and style.
I am passionate about bringing quality fiction to young people, so I am particularly interested in working with children’s, teen and YA writers of any genre. However, I love working with fiction and memoir writers of any experience and genre.

Why we love Tamsin
At Jericho Writers, we’re a team of authors, just like you. Four of us are published by the Big 5, while others are deep in the writing process, honing our craft alongside the writers we support. We work with expert book coaches and carefully chosen mentors, selected for their ability to guide writers through every stage of their journey. It’s this approach that has helped countless authors launch their careers, sign with top literary agents, and even become Sunday Times Bestsellers.
As both an award-winning children’s author and experienced English teacher, Tamsin’s passion for children’s books shines through in the support she provides writers. If you’re looking for an expert children’s mentor, you’re in the right place!
