What Rowan says about editing

I love working with authors on helping them realise the vision they have for their work and making sure it is fully manifested on the page in a way that maximises its chances of finding the right audience and publisher. For developmental editing this means focusing on plot, pace, character and conflict, identifying themes and sharpening the hook to help authors make the most of their brilliant ideas. Many of the authors I have worked with as an editor have gone on to secure agents and publishing deals.

As a writer I am known for my Bookclub, Women’s fiction and Romance novels, as well as my Bronte Mysteries historical crime series. However, in my two decades as a published author I have also written crime and horror fiction, as well as speculative fiction bordering on science fiction and low fantasy. I am an avid crime, fantasy and horror fan and know the genres very well.

As a screenwriter I write romcoms and horror and have had success in acquiring options in both genres. The medium of storytelling across genre and format is not only my passion, but where I have more than two decades of industry experience and understanding to contribute to your work in progress and help you reach your create goals.
