What Anna says about editing
Great writing often begins with uncertainty; I am passionate about helping aspiring writers shape that uncertainty into confident, compelling work. As an author with a strong academic background and extensive, diverse teaching and mentoring experience, I bring creative intuition, critical precision and deep empathy to my editorial practice.
My aim with every project is to help writers realise the fullest potential of their work while strengthening their confidence and craft. I attend closely to voice, structure and intention, offering clear, practical guidance without losing sight of the writer’s originality. My academic background and research into trauma, imagination and magical realism inform a thoughtful, nuanced approach to complex material.
I am a wide and curious reader and am happy to work on manuscripts in any genre, including non-fiction and short fiction collections.
