How to Apply
We want to ensure that all Simply Self-publish students are ready to self-publish their work.
For that reason, please fill out this short form that tells us a bit about you, your finished manuscript, and why you’d like to self-publish your work. All students on the course are required to have a finished and polished manuscript before taking on this course.
We’ll be in touch within 15 working days. If we think the course might not be the right fit for you, we’re always happy to suggest other options.

In order to apply, you will need the following information ready:
- Your background as a writer and your writing ambitions
- Why you want to take the course
- A summary of your novel
- The title and genre of your novel
- Your synopsis and 1,500 word sample of your novel (saved in one document)
- Your preferred package: CORE (from £995) or FULL (from £1995)
- Your preferred start date

Self-publishing expert Debbie Young is the author of thirteen novels, two of which have been shortlisted for the prestigious BookBrunch Selfies Award for best independently-published adult fiction in the UK. She now combines licensing selective rights for her books to various publishers including Boldwood Books, DP Verlag, and Saga Egmont, while continuing to self-publish. Debbie has more than eight years’ experience as Commissioning Editor of the Alliance of Independent Authors’ daily self-publishing advice blog. She is also an Ambassador for ALLi and has written several books of advice for indie authors.
