Why Rosie loves mentoring
I came to teaching and training relatively late in my career. I love seeing students grasp new ideas, get excited about their work and grow. But after four years as a tutor on the Ultimate Novel Writing Programme, I have realised I value building long-term relationships with writers over any other kind of teaching. I’d love the chance to build such a relationship with you.
I want to get to know your project as well as you know it yourself. I want to invest in your characters and plot, worry about your structure and cheer when you make a breakthrough. I want to challenge you when you need to be pushed, and hold your hand when fear or frustration gets the better of you. Writing is lonely, and I will be there as your courage, your conscience or your motivation when you need it!
I am passionate about historical fiction, and women’s stories, but have found myself deeply invested in everything from fantasy to memoir and middle grade to cosy crime.
Why we love Rosie
At Jericho Writers, we’re a team of authors, just like you. Four of us are published by the Big 5, while others are deep in the writing process, honing our craft alongside the writers we support. We work with expert book coaches and carefully chosen mentors, selected for their ability to guide writers through every stage of their journey. It’s this approach that has helped countless authors launch their careers, sign with top literary agents, and even become Sunday Times Bestsellers.
Rosie has supported many writers on our writing courses with her warmth, encouragement, and extensive experience in both writing and mentoring. We would love for you to be the next author she supports!
