Will I be automatically charged after my 7-day free trial?

No, you will not be automatically charged following your AgentMatch free trial. After your free trial comes to an end, if you would like to continue your access to AgentMatch you can choose to start a Premium Membership with us. Our monthly option costs £30 per month and can be cancelled anytime, whereas our annual option is £150 per year when paid upfront, or £15 per month for 12 months when paid in instalments. Are there agents listed for every genre?

Our search filters are based on the most common genres. Any sub-genres or more specific terms are included in the agent profiles. To search for those, simply use the keyword search to identify agents where the sub-genres or terms are mentioned in an agent profile (for example, cosy crime, romantasy, rom-coms).

Will I be able to see whether an agent is actively accepting submissions or not?

Yes, each agent’s profile will list whether they are open or closed to submissions; you can also search this status via the search filters. As the agenting world can move very quickly, we do always recommend that you double-check an agent’s website directly before submitting to them, as although we work really hard to make sure all 1400+ profiles are correct, unfortunately sometimes things can get missed.

How many agents should I query?

We recommend approaching 10-12 agents at a time, and gauge the response. Be sure to make a note of an agent’s timeline for reviewing submissions, as often they state that if you haven’t heard by a certain length of time, to take this as a rejection. If you receive feedback from any agents, you can then act on this before sending out to another batch.
