Writing challenges & moving into 2022

Writing challenges & moving into 2022

Hi everyone,

What’s the biggest hurdle you’re facing with your writing right now? Whether it’s overcoming a snag in your plotline, finding an agent in your niche, or just staying motivated – we want to know how we can best help you.

Here are a couple of things you’ve been wondering about:

  • Can we help with self-publishing?

Yes! We’ve recently launched the Simply Self-Publish tutored course, and an interactive course for members with indie-expert Gwyn GB. We have a tonne of resources on self-publishing for members – so if you think this is the publishing route for you, we’ll always encourage you to go for it.

  • Can we help if you’re writing non-fiction?
Absolutely – check out our 2022 dates for the Creative Non-Fiction short course. Members get discounts on this as well as on manuscript assessments etc. We offer universal resources/masterclasses on self-editing, planning, and researching. Non-fiction employs common writing devices as well, so you’ll feel right at home here.
  • How to stay motivated?
We have blogs, masterclasses and event replays all geared towards staying motivated – but we often find the best thing for motivation is finding a reliable writing community who can keep you accountable. Share your tips on staying motivated below!
We also wanted to make sure you were all up to date on the exciting things we have planned for 2022:
As part of our Black Friday promotion, we’re offering annual membership at a whole 30% off. That’s just £136/$190 down from £195/£270.
If you fancy joining us for the year at a massively reduced price, just follow the link below and enter the code ‘BLACKPASS’ at the checkout. The offer runs from Friday 26 November until Monday 29 November. What’s more, the code operates as a lifetime discount, so your membership will automatically renew at 30% off for as long as you stay with us.

  1. I’m going to post this here because I’m probably not the only one with this question. What happens if you’ve renewed this year already and you would like to take advantage of this offer? Thanks.

    1. Hi Brigitte,

Thanks for checking. Are you a monthly or an annual member? It is possible to get the deal when you’re already a member but it would involve cancelling your existing membership first and then renewing at the discounted price (if you’re a monthly member especially, this is really easy). Unfortunately, there’s no way round this, but I would still recommend taking advantage of the discount as it renews at 30% every year until you cancel.

Give me a shout if you have any more questions 🙂

      1. Esther, I am six months into my annual membership and my brain hurts trying to work out whether it’s worth me taking advantage of the discount (I’ve never been good at maths). However, the idea of an annual 30% discount appeals to me. What to do, what to do…
