Naomi Ishiguro has taken over our social accounts (and we couldn’t be happier about it)
For the whole of this week, the enormously talented Naomi Ishiguro has taken over our social media channels to share photos, prompts, tips that have helped her over the years, as well as some general thoughts on her own writing process.
Make sure you’re following us across social media but in particular Instagram where the full posts will be shared. Please do respond to the prompts and questions and share your ideas in the comments. Naomi will be on hand throughout the week to read the responses and she’d love to see how different people interpret her thoughts.
Naomi is also leading the Creative Writing 101 course in June and we currently have just a handful of places left so book now!
Tarnation. Will have to learn Instagramming now. So many challenges and diversions….finish the edit on that critical first chapter (I have written others) or hold my nose and jump into instagramming? Don’t want to make a splash.
Instagram? Far out! I’ve just mastered Skype.
Instagram’s easy but does distract. Too many interesting places and photos.
R.J.Harrison is right no more unnecessary communication methods for me. I’m not a Gramm (or a Gramp for that matter) so no instagramming. I’m not a twit so I don’t use twitter. I ignore the hype about Skype. And yes, I really DO still watch movies on my VHS player.
Insta is easy. But all social media saps time and energy. Go easy down that path, as there be monsters intent on eating you and your WIP!
I’ve been enjoying the prompts and questions from Naomi, and have participated a bit. But as the Jericho Writers Instagram feed isn’t used all that often there aren’t many people following or joining in. Maybe sharing the full posts/prompts here would be good too.
You’re right, I haven’t been on at all.
