Get That Friday Feeling, with Friday Night Live!
Calling all ye Summer Festival of Writing Goers…and all those ‘I’m thinking of going’ goers. Have you ever wondered what it takes to bag yourself a publishing deal? Well, Jericho Writers has a secret to share with you – submitting 500 words into our Friday Night Live Competition might just be the ticket. Quite literally. Every ticket holder gets an entry, and now is the time to apply.
If you have been deliberating whether to attend, or have even talked yourself out of applying, then maybe this will convince you to finally click the all-hallowed ‘submit’ button. What do Claire McGlasson; Paul Braddon; Felicia Yap; Ruby Speechley; Eleanor Anstruther and Kerry Fisher all have common? No, this is not the start of a bad joke. They are all published authors, and they are all previous years’ FNL finalists. That’s right, every single one either won or shortlisted in our previous years’ events. Following this success they were shortly approached with offers of representation, and you could too! You can read all about their success stories here.
So, did that catch your attention? I thought it might. To be in with a chance of winning a manuscript assessment; a 30-minute agent one-to-one; bespoke support in your hunt for representation and eternal glory, all you have to do is send us the first 500 words of your manuscript (prologue or first chapter). Whether you’re in Thailand or Timbuktu, we welcome any and all entries, no matter your background or where you are in the world  – all you need to have is a Summer Festival of Writing ticket and to submit here before midnight BST on Monday 14 June. Information on document requirements and proceedings can be found on the FNL page. Please make sure you have purchased your ticket and logged in before accessing.
The grand finale event will feature three special guest literary judges including Debi Alper, Davinia Andrew-Lynch (Andlyn), and Jordan Lees (The Blair Partnership). Our Summer Festival audience will be cheering you on the entire time. Simply apply for the excitement to commence.
If you have any further access needs or requirements, please do get in touch with our writers support team at info@jerichowriters.com. We’ll be happy to help.
