Community round-up: in case you missed it!

Community round-up: in case you missed it!

Hi everyone, we had such an interesting week of discussions, news and ideas that I thought it might be nice to do a quick round-up in case you missed anything.

Firstly though, a little plea. If you’ve not yet added a photo to your profile, please do. It doesn’t have to be of your face if you’re shy, it can be anything that represents you or your personality. But it really helps to foster a sense of community, of the real people – the real writers – behind the usernames.

To add a profile picture, click on your name in the top right corner of the screen. From there choose ‘Profile’. You can then add a cover (a photo along the top of the profile page) or click onto the round photo to add or change your picture.

Book club

We have launched the Community Book Club and the first pick to read together is is the highly acclaimed ‘Into The Woods: How Stories Work and Why We Tell Them’ by John Yorke. We’ll be reading this through February and March, and discussing it as we go.

To read along and discuss the book, join the Community Book Club here.

We may even do a little evening webchat towards the end of March if enough people are interested.

Speaking of webchats…

Ultimate Novel Writing Course Webchat

On February 4th at 7pm British time, the fantastic mentors from the Ultimate Novel Writing Course will be on hand to answer any questions. You don’t need to turn up on the day itself, you can even post ahead of time.
