Bakshi
Bakshi
Bakshi ,Bakshi,Bakshi ,children were yelling.
He ran frantically on the roads .
He bet his chest and cried aloud.
He harmed none.
He ran and ran through the streets.
The children ran in swarms.
Little monsters pelting stones on poor Bakshi.
Bakshi the villain had one flaw.
He was a little nut and had no friends.
He wore torn clothes and his hair were disheveled.
He would cry and run and beat his chest as those children would stone him out of the town.
Everyone called him mad,mad,mad.
Bakshi the mad mad mad man.
He cried and yelled and ran on roads of poonch.
No one to talk to and not a loving hand went towards him.
One day he fell and broke his leg.
And none to take him to the hospital .
That was Bakshi who once “lived”in a town called¬†Poonch.
He ran and ran all alone through the lanes and by lanes of that town.
I wonder whose son was he?
Did he have a home?
Or was he a destitute?
A homeless soul was he.
Why the elders of the town never intervened.
Why was he stoned?
Why he was not treated for his disease?
He probably suffered from psychosis.
I was a child, and whatever I can remember, I think Mr. Bakshi was a soul tortured by so called normals. What he needed was love and care. And that’s what he never got.
Once upon a time lived a loner called Bakshi.
