My understanding of a layered family drama is that it contains lots of depth, complexity, and intricacy, mining deep into familial relationships, dynamics, conflicts, their psychology, and themes. Everything is interconnected, built on a foundation of family history, secrets, tension and conflicts. There are quite often multiple perspectives with dynamic character evolution. And it’s all richly layered and nuanced to create a satisfying read. It’s basically plotters paradise… though, I call myself a plotter and it’s far too rich for my blood! 😅
