Kelly began her career in publishing in the Academic sector. She worked as an Acquisitions Editor with the Academic Press imprint for Elsevier and later became an Editor for Soil, Plant, and Insect Science textbooks. She later decided to make a career change and began working in an entry-level position for the Sandra Dijkstra Literary Agency; within her first year, Kelly began managing her own client list.<\/p>\n

Now working with the Andrea Brown Literary Agency, Kelly is continuing to manage and build her client list.<\/p>\n

In addition to her role with the agency, Kelly is on the Advisory Board for UCSD’s certificate in Writing and Illustrating for Children.
