Kim started her career working in the editorial department of Forbes magazine. She later worked as an advertising copywriter. At some point, she moved to New York to study for an MFA in Creative Writing at The New School. She also received her undergraduate Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. In 2009, she started as an agent at Wendy Sherman Associates. There, she worked closely with writers to help develop concepts and sold numerous books to major publishing houses. She left that company five years later and to join the Irene Goodman Agency.<\/p>\n
Kate is a writer herself. She has co-edited ‘Wedding Cake for Breakfast’, a collection of essays about the first year of marriage published by Berkley Publishing Group.<\/p>\n
Kate helps curate the H. I. P. Lit festival that takes place every year in Brooklyn, New York.
