Founder, owner and president of Richard Curtis Associates, Inc. Studied at the University of Wyoming (where he got an M.A. in American Studies) and Syracuse University (where he received a B.A. in American Studies). He began his career as foreign rights manager for the Scott Meredith Literary Agency. He worked as a freelance author and was a regular columnist for the sci-fi fanzine Locus in the 1980s. He unveiled the first independent e-book publisher E-Reads which began reissuing a catalogue of previously published titles electronically. From here, Richard also began to blog about authorship, publishing and the future of digital media. He became the inaugural president of the Independent Literary Agents Association and the president of the Association of Authors’ Representatives. He also represented the Science Fiction Writers of America and received the Romance Writers of American Industry Award for Distinguished Service to Authors. Richard lives in Manhattan with his wife and two children.
