Rayhane graduated from New York University and began her literary career at Newsweek Magazine before moving into book publishing, holding positions at Penguin imprints Dutton and Gotham Books, as well as at Houghton Mifflin Harcourt.<\/p>\n
She then moved to the agencies William Morris Endeavor and boutique firm WSK Management, where she was involved in the careers of Amor Towles, Jennifer Haigh, Daniel James Brown, Kate Jacobs, Kitty Kelley, Jane Pauley, and Bob Dotson, among other internationally bestselling recipients of honors like the PEN\/Hemingway Award, PEN\/New England Award, Kirkus Prize finalist, Guggenheim and Wallace Stegner Fellowships, and National Endowment for the Arts grants. At William Morris Endeavor, she worked closely with veteran agent Dorian Karchmar.<\/p>\n
Rayhane began to represent authors at WSK Management; since joining Massie & McQuilkin Literary Agents in 2014, she has been exclusively building her own bestselling and award-winning client list.<\/p>\n
Rayhane has spoken, led panels, and held workshops at numerous MFA programs and writers’ conferences around the world, some examples being Grub Street’s Muse and the Marketplace, BinderCon, NonfictioNOW, and Lighthouse Writers Workshop. She has also served as guest faculty at UCLA Extension, UC Riverside, California Institute of the Arts, the University of New Orleans, and the Corporeal Writing Center in Portland, Oregon.<\/p>\n
