Sharon graduated from Hillsdale College in 2006 with a BA in English and History. While studying there, she was Editor-in-Chief at The Writing Center, achieved multiple departmental merit scholarships in English, and won the Ewing Creative Writing Award.<\/p>\n
Sharon began her publishing career after graduating and went on to hold a number of positions in the industry. She started off as a Department Lead at Barnes & Noble in 2006 and became the Children’s Department Lead there in 2009, while additionally working as a Freelance Copywriter for Communication Associates from 2008 to 2011.<\/p>\n
Sharon left Barnes & Noble in 2011 and, after completing an internship for Europa Editions, joined Vantage Press Inc. the same year as an Editor and as Director of Author Communities. When Vantage Press Inc. ceased in 2012, she spent time as a Freelance Editor for Black Dog & Levanthal, a Freelance Managing Editor for self-published authors, a Freelance Copywriter for Harlequin, and a Freelance Editor for the Reader’s Digest Association. She stopped working in freelance positions in 2014.<\/p>\n
Sharon joined Dystel, Goderich & Bourret LLC in 2013 where she currently works as Digital Project Manager in addition to building her client list as a Literary Agent.
