It is something of an understatement to say that Elizabeth Kracht has lived an eventful life. She went to college in Puerto Rico, where she attained a BA in English; she also began her professional life on the island, working as a copyeditor for an English-language newspaper. At the same time, she ran a non-profit animal welfare organisation that rescued thousands of homeless cats and dogs from the streets of San Juan; she even orchestrated the rescue of endangered dogs from Dead Dog Beach, an act that was reported across the world. After returning to the US mainland, Elizabeth worked as an acquisitions editor, a freelance publicist, and a writer before joining Kimberley Cameron & Associates in fall 2010. To this day, she works as a freelance editor for She Writes Press, balancing this job with her responsibilities at KC&A. Outside of publishing, Elizabeth once owned a cafe in New York City and acted as handler for a friend’s successful swim of the English Channel.
