Cynthia graduated from Bard College with a BA in Literature and received her MFA in Creative Non-fiction from Sarah Lawrence College.<\/p>\n
She has written for various national and international publications, including The Washington Post, Yoga Journal, SELF Magazine, Pregnancy Magazine, Woman’s Day Magazine, and Chicago Tribune. She has further writing experience from her three books, How to Communicate Like a Buddhist, <\/span><\/i>Talk to Yourself Like a Buddhist<\/i>, and Take a Hike: The Best 50 Routes in the Community of Madrid<\/i>. Additionally, she worked with NY Times bestseller Michael Gross as a researcher on 740 Park: the Story of the World’s Richest Apartment Building <\/i>and on Rogues Gallery: The Secret History of the Moguls and the Money that Made the Metropolitan Museum.<\/i> <\/p>\n Regarding teaching, Cynthia has served as a writing instructor at the Politics & Prose bookstore and at the Writopia Lab, both in Washington, DC, and she offers writing workshops at the DC Public Libraries. She is also the founder of the Kane Intentional Communication Insititute, LLC, which offers training in communication based on a passion for mental self-help techniques.<\/p>\n Cynthia has been a Development Editor for different publishing houses and individual authors and has edited for UN Women (The United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women).
