Kimberley Cameron grew up in Los Angeles, where she attended the Marlborough School for Girls. Her love of literature began at an early age; the highlight of her week was a trip to the library. After finishing high school, Kimberley went to Humbolt State University and then on to Mount St Mary’s College. She began her professional career at the Marjel de Lauer Agency in New York, working with Jay Garon, before moving on to Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, where she developed adaptations of books for the screen. Kimberley also undertook some acting roles herself; she played Snow White in a commercial for Chrysler and had a small role in the Steve Martin film The Jerk. <\/p>\n
Kimberley returned to agenting in 1993, when she became partners with Dorris Halsey at the Reece Halsey Agency. She opened the New York branch of the agency in 2008, and it was renamed as Kimberley Cameron & Associates a year later. She also established Reputation Books, the publishing arm of KC&A, to publish certain manuscripts that couldn’t find a home with larger publishers.<\/p>\n
