Originally from rural Virginia, Ann Leslie graduated from The College of William and Mary with a BA in English and History and later from the University of Virginia with an MA in History. She began her publishing career in 1991 as an Assistant Editor at Macmillan, before moving to Meredith Corporation in 1994 as an Assistant Book Club Editor.<\/p>\n
Ann Leslie became an Assistant Editor at Harlequin in 1997 and went on to hold a succession of other positions within the company as she was promoted through Associate Editor, Editor, and Associate Senior Editor up to Senior Editor in 2009. She spent a total of twenty years there, eventually leaving in 2017.<\/p>\n
Ann Leslie became a Literary Agent in 2017 when she joined Dystel, Goderich & Bourret LLC, where she currently works.<\/p>\n
Ann Leslie has taught romance writing at Marymount College in NYC and has participated in panel discussions and led workshops at writers’ conferences throughout the US, Australia and New Zealand. Examples include Thrillerfest, Madison Writer’s Institute, Emerald City RWA, and the national RWA conference in Denver.
