Ivan Mulcahy was born in Dublin. After studying Politics at Trinity College, he moved to London and joined Reuters, the leading global news and information business. Ivan spent fourteen years with Reuters, including four in New York, four in Stockholm and three in his home town, Dublin. He was promoted rapidly and at the time of leaving in the late 1990s was responsible for all Reuters business in North Europe (250 staff across eight countries containing four international news bureaux). Ivan then became one of the principals of a successful international information technology business called MetaMatrix Inc. Passionate about books and film, he founded the literary agency in 2002. Ivan particularly enjoys working with authors of memoir or biography. He also likes finding new voices in fiction for children.
