Tom graduated from Harvard University with a BA in English, American, French and German Literature.<\/p>\n
Before becoming a literary agent, Tom spent thirty years working within the publishing industry, from 1984 to 2014, holding Senior and Executive Editor positions at the companies of McGraw Hill, Harper Collins, Simon & Schuster, Wiley and Sons, and Hyperion\/Disney. During his time in editorial, Tom worked with numerous NY Times bestselling and prize-winning authors, including Deepak Chopra, Judy Collins, Steve Forbes, Erica Jong, Jack Cafferty, Ginger Rogers, Kirk Douglas, Dame Meryl Bainbridge, Shirley Temple Black, Oliver North, Annette Funicello, Charles Busch, Brian Wilson, Smokey Robinson, Erich Schiffmann, Peter Straub, Jared Diamond, and Loren Cordain.<\/p>\n
Tom finally became a Literary Agent when he joined the Carol Mann Agency in 2014, then joined Liza Dawson Associates three years later, where he currently works as a Senior Literary Agent.<\/p>\n
