Paloma graduated from The Maryland Institute College of Art in 2017 with a BFA in Illustration and worked as a Freelance Illustrator for the National Park Service while studying there; she also completed an internship at the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art around the same time.<\/p>\n
Paloma began her publishing career in 2015 as Co-Founder (with Bekky Sunmi Shin) and Editor-in-Chief of the Dandelion Wine Collective, a small press with a focus on supporting underrepresented artists and mixing online and print content. Her role there involved editing, publishing and selling mini-comics, zines, graphic novels, webcomics, and large-scale anthologies; some examples include 3 AM, Group Chat, Dates!, and The Sun and the Wayward Wind.<\/p>\n
Paloma occupied this position until 2019 when she interned at the Writers House agency. In the same year, she worked both as a Bookseller at Books of Wonder and a Freelance Comic Editor.<\/p>\n
