After graduating from California State University, Long Beach, with a BA in Journalism and a minor in creative writing, Natalie Obando worked as a book publicist before joining Ladderbird Literary Agency in 2023.<\/p>\n
Natalie is dedicated to promoting diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging. She founded Authentic Voices (a four-month-long programme that provides writing, editing, marketing and publishing masterclasses to marginalised people, and currently chairs the programme. Natalie also founded Do Good Public Relations Group and the grassroots organisation, Women of Color Writers Podcast and Programming. Her current role as the first Latina national president of the Women’s National Book Association allows Natalie to promote diversity in publishing via grassroots efforts.
