Val could have been a librarian. Thankfully, her Library Studies degree wasn’t enough to tempt her into the hushed enclaves of bookdom. Always big on ambition, it wasn’t long before Val recruited herself another job in a large US oil company. With a staff of thirty to manage and a large building to take care of, she mastered the art of organisation and communication. In 1983, Val set up VHA, building solid partnerships with producers and production companies whilst relentlessly sniffing out new and original writers.
