For non-fiction submissions, you are aiming to market a finely-honed idea. The outcome of your query rests on the quality of your concept, the uniqueness of its subject matter and on whether you can convincingly demonstrate a gap in the market for your material. You must be able to demonstrate why you are suitably qualified to write about your chosen subject and your credentials as a writer.
