Anastasia has an MA in English Literature from Oxford and has lived in London, Venice and Cairo. She has worked as a temp, a nursery teacher and most recently a defence lawyers’ secretary.
As a freelance features writer she has written human interest pieces for publications such as The Times, The Daily Mail, The Lady and The Tablet covering varied thorny topics including teaching in Egypt, single motherhood, older parenthood, Catholicism, depression, and living with multiple sclerosis. While never shying away from serious themes, she treats them with her trademark honesty and humour.
For over 20 years she has written erotic romance stories and novels for Virgin Books and Accent Press under the pseudonym Primula Bond until 2013 when Harper Collins published her classy four part series starting with The Silver Chain. She has recently published two domestic dramas on Amazon, entitled Daddy’s Girl and Loved Ones under the pseudonym Maria Lucas and under her own name a volume of short stories entitled Stabbing the Rain.
Anastasia enjoys sharing her romantic fiction and short story writing skills and experience with aspiring writers as a ‘book doctor’ giving advice and guidance both for Jericho Writers and at literary festivals.
