Victoria Pullin - Editor
Victoria has a First Class Honours Degree in Media Writing and has worked in the publishing industry for 14 years.
She spent 5 of those years in senior editorial roles at Macmillan Education and Pearson, bringing English Language Teaching courses to worldwide publication in both print and digital format. Working closely with authors and teachers during the development process, she also managed and edited the list of Macmillan graded Readers – both fiction and non-fiction – writing supplementary material to support teachers and learners of the English language. She is a qualified EL teacher and has taught in Oxford schools and colleges. She holds copy-editing and proofreading certificates from the London School of Publishing.
WHY WE LOVE VICTORIA
Victoria continues to provide editorial services as a freelancer to publishers worldwide in both British and American English. She pursues her passion for writing in developing her own psychological thriller and a work of speculative/weird fiction.
WHAT VICTORIA SAYS ABOUT EDITING
I have always loved words and have always been a writer, whether writing content for an English Language Teaching course, marketing copy or my own work of fiction, so I understand exactly what aspiring writers are going through and what they need. I love combining my passion for words with my editorial skills to improve a client’s book, whether that’s a straightforward proofread, a copy-edit or a line-edit.
In particular, I love line-editing because I really enjoy going in deeper at a sentence level to make copy truly sing, finding the perfect word to make a sentence soar or a paragraph pirouette! As a professional editor for over 14 years, I have worked with not only teaching material, but fiction and non-fiction as well and have a soft spot for speculative/weird/dystopian fiction as well as supernatural horror and psychological thrillers. I can’t wait to help you polish your final draft into the best version possible!
